1. What Claire Does

Claire is a skincare guidance and personal routine support tool. Claire may help you:

• answer skincare-related questions;
• build or improve a skincare routine;
• understand ingredients and product categories;
• save skincare products;
• track skin concerns, photos, and progress;
• receive product suggestions;
• receive guidance based on your skin profile, saved products, routine, and app activity;
• access premium features through Claire+.

Claire uses software, algorithms, artificial intelligence, user-provided information, product data, and other available context to generate responses and recommendations.

Claire is designed to support skincare education and routine decision-making. Claire is not a medical provider.

2. Claire Is Not Medical Advice

Claire does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or professional dermatology services. Information provided by Claire is for general informational, educational, and personal skincare support purposes only.

Claire is not a substitute for a doctor, dermatologist, pharmacist, or other qualified healthcare professional. You should consult a qualified healthcare professional before making decisions about medical conditions, prescription medications, severe acne, infections, allergic reactions, burns, rashes, pain, swelling, bleeding, rapidly changing skin lesions, moles, pregnancy-related skincare concerns, or any other health concern.

Do not disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking medical care because of information provided by Claire.

If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, call emergency services immediately.

3. No Guaranteed Results

Skincare outcomes vary from person to person. Claire cannot guarantee that any routine, product, ingredient, recommendation, or suggestion will improve your skin, prevent irritation, prevent acne, clear a condition, or produce a specific result.

Your skin may react differently due to allergies, sensitivity, genetics, environment, medications, hormones, health conditions, product formulation changes, frequency of use, or other factors.

You are responsible for patch testing products, reading product labels, following manufacturer instructions, and discontinuing products that cause irritation or adverse reactions.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Claire. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use Claire only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

By using Claire, you represent that you are legally able to enter into these Terms.

5. Your Account

You may need to create an account to use certain parts of Claire. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your account information up to date.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us promptly at support@claire-skincare.com.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create risk for Claire or other users, or misuse the Service.

6. Your Skin Profile and User Content

Claire may allow you to submit information such as skin type, skin concerns, goals, sensitivities, routines, products you use, product preferences, photos, progress notes, messages, prompts, and other content (“User Content”).

You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting User Content to Claire, you grant Claire a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, host, store, process, reproduce, display, modify, analyze, and create derivative data from your User Content for the purpose of operating, providing, improving, securing, and developing the Service, including generating personalized skincare guidance and maintaining your account.

You are responsible for the User Content you submit. You agree not to submit content that is unlawful, harmful, misleading, infringing, abusive, or that violates another person’s rights.

Do not submit images or information about other people unless you have their permission.

7. Artificial Intelligence Features

Claire uses artificial intelligence and automated systems to generate responses, summaries, recommendations, routines, and other outputs (“AI Outputs”).

AI Outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or inappropriate for your specific situation. You should use your own judgment and consult qualified professionals when appropriate.

You are responsible for evaluating AI Outputs before relying on them. Claire is not responsible for decisions you make based on AI Outputs.

Claire may use safety filters, usage limits, product rules, and other controls, but we do not guarantee that the Service will identify every risk, allergy, ingredient conflict, product incompatibility, or medical concern.

8. Product Information and Recommendations

Claire may display or recommend skincare products, product categories, ingredients, routines, and purchase links. Product information may include brand, price, ingredient information, product descriptions, images, links, and availability.

Product information may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or changed by manufacturers or retailers without notice. Claire does not manufacture, sell, ship, or control third-party products unless expressly stated.

You are responsible for reviewing product labels, ingredients, warnings, expiration dates, manufacturer instructions, and suitability before purchasing or using any product.

Claire may earn commissions from affiliate links, including qualifying purchases through third-party retailers. Affiliate relationships do not guarantee that a product is right for you.

9. Subscriptions and Payments

Claire may offer paid features through Claire+ or other subscription plans.

Claire+ may include features such as expanded Ask Claire usage, routine-building tools, routine-aware guidance, progress tracking, saved product context, and other premium features.

Prices, features, and limits may change over time. We will present current pricing and subscription terms before purchase.

Web Purchases

Purchases made through Claire’s website may be processed by Stripe or another third-party payment processor. Your payment information is handled by the payment processor, not directly by Claire, except for limited billing-related information we receive.

iOS In-App Purchases

Purchases made inside Claire’s iOS app are processed through Apple In-App Purchase. Your Apple ID will be charged according to the plan you select. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled through your Apple account settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period, subject to Apple’s rules.

Claire cannot directly cancel, refund, or modify Apple In-App Purchase subscriptions on your behalf. You can manage or cancel Apple subscriptions through your Apple account.

Subscription Renewal and Cancellation

Subscriptions may automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date. Canceling a subscription generally prevents future renewal but does not automatically refund past charges or unused time unless required by law or by the applicable payment platform.

If you cancel, you may continue to access paid features until the end of the current billing period, unless otherwise stated.

10. Free Features and Usage Limits

Claire may offer free features with usage limits. We may change free limits, rate limits, feature availability, or eligibility at any time.

We may restrict, pause, or limit usage to protect the Service, manage costs, prevent abuse, or comply with law.

11. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• use Claire for unlawful, harmful, abusive, or fraudulent purposes;
• attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, copy, or extract the Service or its data;
• interfere with or disrupt the Service;
• bypass rate limits, paywalls, subscription controls, or security measures;
• upload malicious code or content;
• use Claire to generate or distribute misleading, harmful, or illegal content;
• impersonate another person;
• submit content that violates privacy, intellectual property, or other rights;
• use Claire as a substitute for emergency, medical, or professional care.

12. Intellectual Property

Claire, including its software, design, branding, text, graphics, logos, interfaces, workflows, and other materials, is owned by Claire or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or create derivative works based on Claire except as allowed by these Terms or with our written permission.

13. Feedback

If you send us ideas, suggestions, feedback, or improvements, you grant Claire the right to use them without restriction or compensation to you.

14. Third-Party Services

Claire may integrate with or link to third-party services, including Supabase, Stripe, Apple, Google, OpenRouter, AI model providers, analytics tools, weather or UV data providers, and retailers such as Amazon.

Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Claire is not responsible for third-party services, content, products, availability, security, or practices.

15. Changes to the Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of Claire at any time. We may add or remove features, change limits, update pricing, or change how the Service works.

We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

16. Termination

You may stop using Claire at any time. You may request account deletion where available.

We may suspend or terminate your access if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk, misused the Service, failed to pay, or if required by law.

After termination, some provisions of these Terms will continue to apply, including sections related to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution.

17. Disclaimers

Claire is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, security, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that Claire will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, accurate, or suitable for your specific needs.

We do not guarantee that AI Outputs, product recommendations, routines, or skincare guidance will be accurate, complete, safe, effective, or appropriate for you.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Claire and its owners, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, loss of goodwill, personal injury, skin reactions, product issues, or damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Claire’s total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid to Claire for the Service in the three months before the claim arose, or (b) $100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some limitations may not apply to you.

19. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Claire and its owners, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers from any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.

20. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles, unless your local law requires otherwise.

21. Dispute Resolution

Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at support@claire-skincare.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, the parties may pursue available legal remedies in a court of competent jurisdiction, subject to applicable law.

22. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we may notify you through the Service, by email, or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of Claire after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
